Here are some great pet friendly places and publications in Houston:

Rover Oaks Pet Resort: Rover Oaks has it all from doggie daycare, grooming, training classes, to boarding in their luxury pet suites. Abby is a regular at Rover Oaks doggie daycare… have to get rid of that energy somehow!

Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital: I take all of my pets here and the vets are great! I love the fact that the vets and vet techs get to know you and your dog or cat personally. It makes for such a great experience… even when your pets aren’t feeling well.

Barker Street Gourmet Dog Bakery and Boutique: I met the owners of this great pet bakery & boutique at the Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows. They have great dog treats! Abby tested them several times at the show and was a big fan of all the treats that came her way … especially the pupcakes.

Houston Pet Talk Magazine is a great magazine for pet lovers. There are great articles and information about special pet events in town. You can pick up a copy at your vet, local groomer, and lots of other pet friendly spots!

Gone to the Dogs… And The Cats Too! Pet Boutique: this is a great place to go if you are looking to spoil your pets rotten. They carry handmade designer dog clothes and other great items for both dogs and cats. They don’t have a website up so here is their phone number (713) 522-0780

Texas Dogs & Cats Magazine is also a great publication for dog and cat lovers. Each cover features a rescue animal and benefits that rescue for the month. Carlisle’s Salon & Suites is a wonderful groomer that I take my dogs to. I really love Carlisle’s because the dogs are able to play out in a play area and are not in crates all day, which is great for Abby because she has so much energy! She gets to play all day with other dogs while waiting to be groomed.
